SOCIOLOGICAL APPROACHES IN ISLAMIC STUDIES (Concepts and Relevance in Society)

Diversity does not always get a positive response from the community because diversity often conflicts with developing cultures. This article aims to discover sociological approach in Islamic studies. The library research method is used variety of relevant sources. study results indicate that characteristics studies emphasize muamalah worship rather than ubudiyah. Theories include functional theory, interactional and conflict theory. Sociological methods descriptive, comparative, experimental methods. sociology pays attention problems developed society, such as prohibition usury, reducing divorce rate, socio-political comparability. also contains case analysis society's approach.Keywords: Approach; Sociology; Studies
